The License to Carry (LTC) class, requires the student to have the pre-existing ability to operate and shoot a handgun in a safe and proficient manner. LTC  does NOT teach you how to operate or shoot a handgun. If you do not feel confident in your ability to properly shoot a handgun, PLEASE consider attending our LTC Prep course, Essential Handgun course or a Private Instruction Session BEFORE attending the LTC class.

The LTC  curriculum covers Texas State laws and regulations related to carrying a handgun – both concealed AS WELL as open carry. The course will also cover Federal laws and prohibitions related to carrying a firearm in the State of Texas.

You will be required to demonstrate your shooting proficiency through a “standard” LTC qualification course of fire. If you want to practice and assess your level of shooting proficiency prior to taking the LTC class, Saddle River Range is open 7 days a week. We also offer an LTC Prep class.

The price of the LTC class includes range fees as well as a meal from our Café 2A class menu. Our Café 2A food is delicious and you will be hard pressed to find a nicer, safer, more comfortable shooting range and LTC class room setting in the Houston area! Firearm rentals and ammunition are NOT included in the cost of the LTC class.
