OUTSIDE SALES POSITION – (1 Position Available)

Saddle River Range is pleased to announce that we have immediate openings for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team.

We are looking for a commission-motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our growing and diverse team. We are looking for someone who can identify prospects and leads in the local The Woodlands, Magnolia, Spring, and Conroe area and be able to create conversion

Saddle River Range offers several levels of memberships for individuals, groups/organizations, small companies and large companies and the primary objective of the Outside Sales Representative is to generate membership sales for the range.  In addition to membership sales, this position will also market and promote events hosted at and training classes offered at Saddle River Range

Responsibilities will include:

  • Full lifecycle sales process
  • Creating strategic selling strategies for a variety of individuals and businesses
  • Prospecting for new clients and developing strong relationships with the community
  • Identifying clients needs and opportunities where Saddle River Range can fulfill
  • Achieving consistent quota attainment and gross profit targets

 Requirements – The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of business-to-business related sales experience
  • A successful and stable track record of excellence
  • The ability to aggressively prospect for new business
  • Ability to manage entire sales process from prospecting and follow up through close
  • Express an aggressive, dynamic personality and excellent customer service skills

EVENT COORDINATOR – (0 Position Available)

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years customer service experience.
  • Experience with event planning strongly preferred
  • Must possess an aggressive, dynamic personality and excellent customer service skills.

  • Maintains the qualities of a people-oriented, sales driven, self-directed, self-motivated
    and determined individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and the highest level of

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Hospitality team and SRR Management to plan, coordinate and execute both on and off site events for groups up to 300.

CERTIFIED NRA INSTRUCTOR – (3 Positions Available)

Saddle River Range is looking for experienced certified Instructors for part time positions. NRA Basic Instructor certificates are required and Texas LTC instructor certificate preferred. LEO or Military training a plus, but not mandatory. Please email your resume and supporting documents to training@saddleriverrange.com Firearms Instructors play a critical role in delivering on the SRR mission statement.  They engage customers from all varying skill levels and help bring the SRR learning and shooting experience to life by providing top tier customer service to all customers.  The Firearms Instructors are responsible for creating the SRR experience by providing prompt, knowledgeable service and by maintaining a professional learning environment.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous Law Enforcement experience or Military experience with honorable discharge is preferred
  • Instructor certificate from NRA or other nationally recognized training program preferred.  (Training certificates will be requested at a later time.)

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard.

  • Is alert and mindful of accident prevention, risk management and liability concerns throughout the facility.

ARMORER POSITION – PART-TIME (1 Positions Available)

Saddle River Range is looking for an Armorer. His/Her duties would include (but not be limited to) helping the primary Gunsmiths with daily taskings, cleaning weapons, basic part repair (i.e. sight installation, parts replacement), firearm refinishing, administrative paperwork and general shop maintenance. At face value, it is a position as a ‘support element’, which can/may lead to apprenticeship for the right person. Otherwise, its a great work environment that is just seeking a part-time person to help out and assist in the shop’s forward motion.

Saddle River Range’s Gunsmith Services Section is laid back, friendly and quality oriented but, serious. This part time position can be fun and exceedingly interesting. Things you will deal with are firearms, tool-usage, CNC programming and design, CNC Operation and parts development as well as things like Powder Coating, Cerakote, Parkerization and (in the future) bluing.

It should be said that this position, being part-time, is preferring those who can work weekly evenings (available until 9pm) and Sundays. But we are open to working with anyone worth the effort.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General firearm repair
  • Firearm cleaning and maintenance
  • Shop duties, machine maintenance and customer relations

NECESSARY (Don’t apply without)

  • Be able to pass a background check & drug test
  • Be professional and customer oriented
  • Be able to take direction and do as told

PREFERRED

  • Basic firearms knowledge/familiarization; pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotguns (Call of Duty experience, okay, ha!)

FIREARMS SALES ASSOCIATE – PART TIME ( 0 Position Available)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist customers with sales of outdoor sporting goods, to include but not limited:

  • Firearms and Class III products
  • Ammunition/Firearm accessories
  • Men’s and women’s apparel
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Completes Form 4473s accurately
  • Be knowledgeable of products carried and present to customers using professional sales techniques
  • Assist in maintaining store’s overall appearance; housekeeping and merchandising
  • Operate a register when required

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma is required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong attention to detail
  • Able to work closely with customers and co-workers
  • Must comply with SRR’s safety, security and environmental policies and procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires reading, writing, walking, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, lifting, kneeling, counting and repetitive motions.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

RANGE SAFETY OFFICER – (1 Positions Available)

The Range Safety Officer plays a critical role in delivering a safe, organized and exciting shooting experience for the SRR customer. This individual must be knowledgeable about firearms, firearms safety and be willing to enforce the rules of the range with tact and diplomacy, maintaining a professional, positive demeanor with the customers and staff at all times. This person will be integral in setting and maintaining a positive image of the range and will help create a legendary customer service experience.

 Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Firearms background preferred
  • NRA RSO certification preferred

 Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer-comes-first attitude and connecting with the customer. Ensures that customers are always acknowledged in a warm and friendly manner and actively seeks to discover, understand, and respond to customer needs.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, value and mission of Saddle River Range.
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep facility operating to safety standards.
  • Responsible to educate any and all range users on the proper range safety practices while exhibiting customer service and professionalism when rule enforcement is necessary.
  • Engage in quality communication with the customer, helping them choose firearms to rent and suggest additional necessary supplies for a safe and enjoyable shooting experience.
  • Assist new and inexperienced shooters on the range with basic safety information and recommending instructor training.  Provide comfort and confidence to all shooters.
  • Follows SRR’s operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees and customers.
  • Ability to set-up and clean ranges as appropriate.
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
